Last week, we have been celebrating the opening of a new Strategy Engineers office in Hamburg, Germany. Adding to the original office close to Hamburg, the new and larger location right in the city centre marks the company’s latest expansion. Since its foundation six years ago, Strategy Engineers’ team has grown to almost 40 consultants with the European headquarter in Munich and a Chinese branch in Shanghai.
‘The enhanced focus that we put on Hamburg with the extension of our office space reflects the great success we are having in Northern Europe. Especially the Automotive and Renewable Energy industries have been growing strongly over the course of the last year. Having a larger team in Hamburg will help to shorten ways to our clients and reflects the growth we are currently seeing on a global scale’, explains Albert Neumann, partner and managing director at Strategy Engineers.
Albert Neumann and Jan Scholl, partner at Strategy Engineers, worked with great care on the logistics, including finding the right office. The solution they came up with is something rarely seen in the consulting industry to date. ‘We are located in the brand new Mindspace in Hamburg, which is a designed shared office space. This means our team will be right in the middle of start-ups, entrepreneurs, accelerators, service providers, investors, VCs and more’, highlights Jan Scholl, who is heading the office. ‘Mindspace allows us not only to scale our office space per team and project requirements, but also provides an exciting work environment fostering entrepreneurship and innovation’, he concludes. Mindspace Hamburg is located at the Rödingsmarkt, right in the heart of the city between the harbour city and the Alster in a historic building from 1903.
For Albert Neumann, Hamburg’s extension holds a special meaning: ‘My family lives close to Hamburg and the city has become my link to our customers worldwide – I am proud to see our firm having a new, larger presence in this important and dynamic city’. Strategy Engineers’ larger office in Hamburg also creates new opportunities for the consultant team. “With our re-located office in Hamburg, we are opening up new opportunities for both candidates joining our German team as well as existing team members.
